Control Bar

Button, button, who's got the button?

At the top of the Input Map page, Hitch Cmdr displays a control bar with a number of buttons and a dropdown menu. We will explain their functions here, from left to right!

Profile Select Dropdown

On the far left, we have a handy dropdown for selecting which control profile is displayed by the input map.

10 points to Gryffindor if you can figure out what game Astral National refers to.

Profile Controls

Directly to the right of the profile select, we have a number of profile controls.

Left to right: Activate Profile, New Profile, Duplicate Profile, Delete Profile, Edit Profile

Activate Profile

The first button is for activating your current profile; preparing that specific profile to be executed. Note that an active profile does not have to be the select profile in the dropdown. You can be running an active profile, or have a profile active, while editing an entirely different profile!

New Profile

This is simply a smaller version of the New Profile button on the home page.

Duplicate Profile

This button will create a copy of your current profile and open the configuration dialog so that you can quickly rename the copy and change the associated icon or image.

Delete Profile

This deletes the currently selected profile.

Edit Profile

This rightmost button will open the profile configuration so that you can rename your current profile or change the associate image and/or icon.

Import and Export Buttons

"He's an importer, exporter"

The middle of the control bar contains the Import and Export buttons. The Import button allows you to integrate other profiles (in JSON format) quickly into your currently select profile. The Export button allows you to export your profile to a selected located (in JSON format) for manual backups of your profiles, as well as sharing profiles with your friends!

Input Map Controls

The rightmost three buttons on the control bar are direct controls for the Input Map view. Specifically, centering the view on your entire node layout, zooming in, and zooming out.

While these map view functions can also be accomplished by keyboard and mouse commands, they're still nice to have. Also Moses spent far too much time finding the right icons so they're in for the long haul.
